Letter to the editor: Stefanik has failed us too frequently
Rest in peace, John McCain, an avowed American patriot.
Our American Congress had recognized John in his final days by passing the “John McCain Defense Authorization Act.” As John lay dying, the president and our current NY-21 congressperson went to Fort Drum for the photo-op signing of this act. Neither could muster the courage to so much as voice his name. All we heard from them was “I, I, I, I.”
This is not how you honor a military hero and lifelong public servant.
Does rude pettiness and social dysfunction substitute for character? We deserve better.
Ms. Stefanik has failed us all too often. There will be a choice in November.
