STATEMENT FROM CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE TEDRA COBB ON THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE 10TH MOUNTAIN DIVISION TO POLICE AMERICAN CITIES

CANTON—FMR. NYS corrections counselor, healthcare advocate and Democratic Congressional candidate Tedra Cobb joins with NY-21 Veterans in condemnation of the use of 10th Mountain Division soldiers, or any members of the US military to police the streets of American cities. Today, Defense Secretary Mark Esper and Fmr. Deputy Under Secretary James Miller each issued statements opposing the president’s dangerous choice to invoke the Insurrection Act.   “Policing American streets isn’t the job these brave men and women signed up to do. This isn’t the service they want to render for this country,” said Cobb. “The 10th Mountain division is the most deployed division in the Army, they fight everyday to secure our freedoms and they are uniquely qualified to carry out …

STEFANIK KEEPS STEVE WYNN CASH COMPARES HASHTAG TO SEXUAL ASSAULT

CANTON—Congressional Candidate Tedra Cobb yesterday, called on Cong. Elise Stefanik to return contributions from casino mogul Steve Wynn, who is accused of multiple egregious acts of sexual assault and harassment. Instead of returning the funds like many other prominent Republicans, Stefanik doubled down, comparing sexual assault to a mean Twitter hashtag. These allegations were first reported by the Wall Street Journal and caused the Nevada Gaming Control Board to launch an investigation and the RNC to force Wynn to resign as Finance Chair. Wynn’s own shareholders have filed lawsuits because of his horrific actions.  “Stefanik is comparing being called a mean name on Twitter – an act which we immediately denounced – to disturbing, serious and credible accusations of rape, …

PRESIDENT TRUMP TAKES STEFANIK’S LEAD ON MEDICARE

PRESIDENT TRUMP TAKES STEFANIK’S LEAD ON MEDICARE CUTS Canton —This week President Trump announced he is willing to cut earned-benefit programs like Medicare, taking the lead from Elise Stefanik who has repeatedly supported cutting the program by hundreds of billions. In her 2014 campaign, Elise Stefanik claimed she would “protect and preserve” the program. When pressed for details, Stefanik famously walked off camera. Since then, Stefanik has voted for hundreds of billions in cuts, to raise the retirement age, and to turn Medicare into a voucher system, all the while taking money from those in the health care industry who would benefit most. Stefanik on Medicare: In 2012, she served as the chair for the Republican Platform Committee where she …

Statement on WhistleBlower Complaint

CANTON—“After today’s hearing, it is clear that we need a full investigation into the whistleblower complaint to understand the scope of the President’s and his Administration’s interactions with Ukraine,” said Cobb. “This is a constitutional crisis, and I applaud Republicans and Democrats who are taking their duty to the country seriously and making the Constitution and our national security their first priority. Unfortunately, Elise Stefanik, is not one of them. Congresswoman Stefanik’s responsibility, especially as a member of the Intelligence Committee, is to the law and to her constituents. But, instead of carefully looking at the facts, Stefanik is raising money off of this crisis and within minutes of seeing the whistleblower’s report, began repeating White House-approved talking points. Congresswoman …
