Through the use of self-assessments, discussion, and activities, participants will explore the meaning,
impact and importance of diversity in the workplace including gender, sexual orientation, race and
ethnicity and personal abilities. Participants will explore their personal experiences and other
influences in creating who they are, and how they interact with others. Skills learned include: communicating positively, identifying and combating “isms,” and creating supportive work and community environments.
