Learning Objectives:

Participants will:

  • Identify the steps of developing an effective training program: analysis, development, design, implementation and evaluation
  • Recognize various learning styles and develop strategies to engage the adult learner
  • Identify and practice effective public speaking techniques that engage participants
  • Demonstrate effective listening and facilitation techniques that encourage questions and facilitate discussion
  • Identify and construct learning activities that will incorporate the various learning styles
  • Develop evaluation tools to assess learner’s knowledge, comprehension and skills

Outcomes:

Skills learned include: assessing the target audience, developing learning objectives, public speaking, facilitation, creating learning activities, developing evaluation strategies.
