Tedra L. Cobb is the president and owner of Tedra L. Cobb and Associates, a dynamic consulting firm focusing on employee and management training in effective hiring practices, performance management and supervisory leadership, sexual harassment prevention, time management, customer service and professionalism, problem solving and decision making and communications.
Ms. Cobb's specific areas of expertise are program and organizational development and the presentation of highly effective, interactive educational workshops. Her clients are diverse and include manufacturing, universities, government, casinos, libraries, and not-for-profit health and human services organizations.
Ms. Cobb holds a M.S. Ed. in Instructional Technology, specializing in Training and Development, from the State University of New York at Potsdam. Her professional experience is diverse, ranging from bi-lingual counseling (Spanish) in the NY prison system to directing a community-based health coalition.
She has served as a trustee of the St. Lawrence Leadership Institute, and as a Board Member of the North Country Children's Clinic and the St. Lawrence Valley Renewal House.
She was an elected member of the St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators and served on the Office of the Aging Advisory Board and Chairs the Government Review Committee. Tedra also served as convener for the St. Lawrence Energy Alliance, a community coalition working to assist low-income residents get safely through the winter months.
Ms. Cobb served as an appointed Member of the NY State Committee on Open Government whose mission is to oversee the implementation of the Freedom of Information Law and the Open Meetings Law.
Ms. Cobb has been a NYSDOH Certified Trainer, and has been a conference presenter at the NY State Regional Teen Sexuality Conference, Correction Education Association of NYS Conference, the Intensive Outpatient Professionals of South Carolina State Conference, the NY State Democratic Rural Conference, the NY State Office of Children and Family Services - Staff Development Training Institute, the NY State Public Welfare Association Conference, the NY State Association for Reduction, Reuse and Recycling, Inc. and the NY State Association of Rural Health Conference.
Ms. Cobb is a grant reviewer for the Health and Human Services Administration.
She is a member of the St. Lawrence Valley Society of Human Resources Management.
